Have you been thinking about your empty nest with kids around college age?

Your nest may be empty, but your life can still be full. We tend to see people at our business when they hit this stage of life. Major changes are happening and there is a new opening in your life for self-care whether that be less wine, more sleep or spending mornings watching Netflix on a treadmill instead of dragging your people out of bed for school! Now, between assembling care packages, entertaining retirement conversations, and redecorating the new spaces, it’s time to rediscover your own health and relationships without kids. Spend time thinking about your health, getting to those things that kept getting pushed to the back burner.

Explore a new exercise routine, schedule date nights, try new things, book your health screenings, join a book club and HAVE FUN!! Rediscovering yourself can be scary, but it’s time and letting life happen to you while you sit on the sidelines is never a good plan.

And hey, recent studies suggest that an empty nest might reduce work and family conflicts. This empty nest also gives parents a new opportunity to reconnect with each other, improve the quality of their marriage and rekindle interests for which they previously might not have had time. Good luck out there, we’re pulling for you!
